Travel agencies rely heavily on Midoco, Travelport’s Machineable Interface Record (MIR) and Agency Information Record (AIR) files to manage booking details, including flight segments, ticketing information and passenger data. However, the existing system had limitations, including incomplete functionality and inefficiencies in handling certain workflows. Additionally, manual data extraction and reporting processes were time-consuming and prone to errors, limiting clients’ ability to analyze booking information effectively.
By addressing system limitations, adding new features and automating order exports, we significantly enhanced back-office operations for travel agencies. These improvements reduced administrative overhead, improved system efficiency and enabled more reliable and faster transaction processing.
The Prometheus-based monitoring solution greatly improved infrastructure reliability and performance. It automated the collection and visualization of metrics, reducing manual effort and enhancing our ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.

We began by identifying limitations in the existing system and addressing customers requirements, including missing functionality and inefficiencies in key workflows. We then implemented improvements to address these gaps, such as extending support for additional file types and optimizing processes. Next, we developed the automated order export feature, enabling seamless data extraction and reporting. Finally, we ensured the system fit smoothly into existing workflows, delivering a robust solution for travel agencies.
