Service Booking Platform

Service businesses — salons, gyms, clinics, studios — lose time and revenue to manual booking: phone calls, paper diaries, no-shows and double-bookings. Customers, meanwhile, want to find a nearby business, see real availability and book in a few taps. We set out to build our own platform that solves both sides at once: a discovery experience for customers across web and mobile, a full scheduling and team-management toolset for businesses, and protection against the booking abuse (repeat no-shows and last-minute cancellations) that quietly costs providers money — all served from a single backend across web and native mobile.

We designed and built a multi-tenant booking platform that connects customers with service businesses across both a web app and native iOS/Android apps. Customers discover businesses by category, location or rating, browse real-time availability, pick a specific staff member, and book one or several services in a single appointment — including recurring bookings that repeat on a schedule. Business owners get a complete management dashboard: a drag-and-drop calendar, team and working-hours management, services and pricing, booking policies, and an activity feed of everything happening across their business. The platform also protects providers from booking abuse, automatically flagging and limiting customers with poor no-show and cancellation records according to each business's own rules. Notifications (email, SMS and mobile push), social and email sign-in, map-based search and QR-code favourites round out a polished, fully localised (English and Serbian) experience — all served by one Go backend.

The platform replaces phone-and-paper booking with a self-service experience that works for everyone involved: customers book in a few taps on web or mobile, businesses manage their whole schedule and team in one place, and providers are protected from the no-show and cancellation abuse that erodes their revenue. Recurring appointments, multi-service bookings and real-time availability remove the friction that drives drop-off, while map-based discovery and ratings help customers find the right business. The product runs across four coordinated surfaces — customer web, customer mobile, business dashboard and platform admin — on a single shared backend, and demonstrates our ability to ship a complex, multi-platform product end to end.

• PostgreSQL: Core data store for businesses, services, availability, bookings and reviews.

• SendGrid & Google/Facebook OAuth: Transactional email and social authentication.

As our own product, we owned every decision end to end. We started with the booking domain itself — businesses, staff, services, availability and appointments — and built a single Go backend to serve every client consistently. From there we developed the customer experiences in parallel: a responsive web app and a native mobile app sharing the same API, so customers get the same capabilities wherever they are. For business owners we built a comprehensive dashboard around a drag-and-drop calendar, team and service management, and configurable booking policies. We then hardened the platform for real-world use — adding abuse protection so providers aren't punished by repeat no-shows, an activity feed for full visibility, and complete English/Serbian localisation — all designed around a multi-tenant model so each business runs as its own isolated, branded tenant.
